BIOGRAPHY
Thomas is a UK-based composer writing post-classical and orchestral music for screen.
His sound is unhurried and thoughtful — piano and strings used patiently, with synths and texture brought in where they help, all in the service of music that lets emotion surface rather than imposing it. He's most drawn to projects where the score works quietly: contemplative, atmospheric, character and narrative-driven works..
He holds an MA in Orchestration for Film, Games and Television. His recent orchestral work was recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic, and his music has been featured on BBC Radio 3's Sleeping Forecast. His debut album Nova was released in 2026.
Thomas came to composition the long way round — 15 years as a keyboard player in some of London's less salubrious venues, then 16 building a maritime tech company before returning, finally and fully, to music. He works from his studio in Surrey.
